EG-1 seems to be designed "better" to go back and forth between filter & espresso, which is part of the intention of getting large flats. Can't decide whether to go with EG-1 or Monolith Max. It was used for 3.5 years at a little church coffee bar, two days a week, 40-50 shots per week total.And that 64mm doesn't have a special unimodal cutting surface, it's an all-purpose burr.
