This is a terrific little museum located in a late 1800s firehouse that was built after Portland's Great Fire of July 4, 1866. That fire was the largest fire in the history of the United States up to that time. The museum filled to the brim with antique fire fighting apparatus, leather fire buckets, photographs, and paintings.
